Year over year, Cartersville Service League has continued to increase the amount of hours we serve, the amount of money we give, and the number of organizations that we give to thanks the the generous donations from the Cartersville/Bartow County community that we live in.

Special Olympics


Special Olympics occurs annually for all Cartersville City Schools and Bartow County Schools special needs students, and the Cartersville Service League is always in attendance to provide support.  CSL members help set up events, hand out medals to the athletes, and have given numerous hugs and high fives keeping everyone’s enthusiasm up!

Boys & Girls Club Fun Day Out


Annually in April, the Cartersville Service League plans a “Fun Day Out” for the Boys and Girls Club of Bartow County.  This is always a great time for our members to interact and play with the members at the club.  In 2021, The League hosted Fun Day Out at the Boys and Girls Club Cartersville Campus, and throught community donations was able to provide snacks, rides, a dunking booth, and blow-up fun for the boys and girls in attendance. 

Boys & Girls Club Mondays


Cartersville Service League has supported the Boys and Girls Club of Bartow County since _____.  Each Monday afternoon throughout the school year the ladies of the League are proud to provide a meal from CSL members or local businesses.  In addition to the meal, the League provides and completes a craft with the club kids.  This service is always a great way to begin our week!

Bartow Family Resources Volunteering


Cartersville Service League members volunteer their time at the Bartow Family Resources Center each week in many ways.  Whether it’s sorting donations of clothing or supplies for new mothers, administrative work, or building upkeep, it is always a pleasure to serve such an amazing, local organization.

Night of Life

Night of Life is an annual fundraiser held at the Lakepoint Champions Center in Emerson, GA which benefits the Bartow Family Resources Center.  Ladies of the League assist with the event planning, loading-in, setting-up, providing hospitality by serving the {#} guests in attendance, and the breakdown of the event.

Flowering Branch Children’s Shelter


On Sundays Cartersville Service League members provide a full meal to the +/- 15 children/teens at the Flowering Branch Children’s shelter in Bartow County.  Flowering Branch is a residential program for abused, neglected, and runaway youth.  The shelter is one of the numerous programs that falls under the local non-profit Advocates for Children umbrella.  The guests look forward to the meal each week!

Speakers and Meeting Donations

Twice a year, the ladies of the Cartersville Service League invite a speaker to our monthly meeting to discuss various organizations/needs in our community.

• In May 2019, Bailey Beaver of the B.L.E.S.S. Coalition spoke to our group about the non-profit and it’s 4 areas of focus: basic needs, education, employment, and housing.  To assist the organization, ladies of the League donated toiletry items to the B.L.E.S.S. General Store.

• In October 2019, Patty Eager with Hickory Log (pictured to the right) spoke to our group about the personal care communal home for 24 men, each with special needs, located in White, GA.  To assist the organzation, ladies of the League donated personal care and household items.

Toys for Bartow Christmas

Each year in December the League hosts a Christmas Luncheon for it’s current and sustaining members.  All attendees bring an unwrapped toy to donate to Bartow Chrismas.  During the holiday season, this is a joyous way for the Ladies of the League to give back to our Bartow community.

Hickory Log

Every quarter, we extend a warm invitation to the residents of Hickory Log, a personal care home catering to up to 24 men with developmental or intellectual disabilities, as well as those who have experienced traumatic brain injuries. During these gatherings, we offer a wholesome meal and engage in creative craft activities.
